Since graduation Dr. Connolly has been committed to practicing the highest level of medical eye care available. His professional interests include cataract surgery co-management, LASIK surgery co-management, acute eye trauma and infection, macular degeneration and glaucoma. Dr. Connolly has a passion for performing in-depth examinations, followed by a clear analysis of his findings and a well-detailed explanation of the treatment options and prognosis. Dr. Connolly joined Clark|Tait Eye Center in April of 2024, after 5 years with a comprehensive Ophthalmology group in Flint, MI.
Starting in eye care at the age 16, Dr. Connolly worked as a technician for his father’s Optometry practice. He went on to receive his undergraduate education at Michigan State University where he was a member of the Spartan Cheerleading team for football and basketball games, as well as a Resident Assistant to the Department of Residence Life for Wilson Hall. Dr. Connolly was accepted to the Michigan College of Optometry where he received scholarships from the Healthy Vision Association, the Ferris State Alumni Association and the Michigan Foundation for Vision Awareness. During his graduate schooling, he was the sole recipient for the Seymour Galina Scholarship, selected by the American Optometric Association Board of Directors. As part of his schooling he performed rotations at Duane L Waters Hospital, Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital and Anderson Eye Associates. Dr. Connolly is a current member of the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Connolly lives in Fenton with his wife Hannah, and his sons James and Foster. In his free time he enjoys coaching his sons’ sports, boating on Lake Fenton, hiking and traveling.
